Hes a lean mother-lover with very little armor - which I like. The armor is a bit too much like AVP armor (which I dont care for), but hes not a linebacker, so I'm happy.

The hero Preds in P1 and P2 only had netting on one of their arms.

Yep, the P2 had it everywhere but the left arm and the P1 had it everywhere but the right arm.

You know what, I like him. I just wish that they'd gotten a little farther away from the whole AVP aesthetic. Lose the ******* toe dusters. They're gay and serve NO purpose for a creature that climbs. Although you can't see it in the pic, his neck collar is kinda lame. But everything else looks cool. He's back with the traditional mouth layout... albeit a bit larger. A nice looking figure altogether.

As far as netting goes, it looks alright. The Predator in P1 had it everywhere but his right arm. In P2 it was everywhere but his left arm. In AVP.... well who gives a **** about that. The general idea behind the netting is to keep the creature warm. I guess it's subjective as to how much or how little each hunter chooses to wear. Personal preference I guess.

Also, if you want to nit-pick... the Predator in P1's netting was black. The netting used on the P2 was a light brown color. Perhaps the different colored meshes act differently? Damnit.. something else to think about.

I'm actually a huge fan of the battle scars. I don't think there's any way around the design of the P1 in any way, but if you want to go out of your way and create something new, **** him up.

I was never sure what the netting was for anyway. I read about someone taking a wild guess this is like a heat generator that's keeping him warm. I think it's crap (fishnet as jacket??), but well. Whatever floats your boat.

I don't think there is anything wrong with this new version of Predator. In fact, I liked it! It is much slimmer and lean just like the Predators in P1 and P2 unlike the bulkier version in the previous AVP. I am eagerly waiting for this Predator to come and damn, why does NECA wants to release it in February 2008 instead of releasing it prior to the release of the AVP: R movie?

And one more thing, I would be pleased if NECA would make Predators of P1 and P2, that would make me a happy chap!

Hmm, since the netting is only on his upper body, it'll save me the trouble of digging up more of the stuff for mine. I only have enough for the upper half and these pics prove to me that it will work.
