Avp Predator Armor Ideas

Well, Regardless. My plan worked, I just used light bursts of spray paint and it worked out exactly like I wanted it to do. Plus I let it dry in the hot sun.

So far I am happy with the progress. Might actually skip the red lining and just go as is, cause I think I got enough red on my rough draft sketch.

Not only does sealing them stop it from soaking in, it gives the paint something more solid to bond to.  The biggest problem with foam (that I have discovered) is the lack of durability.  It takes virtually nothing for it to start peeling and rubbing off.  Also, any bending or flexing and it's done for.  If all you're looking for is something that resembles solid black pred armor, black saddle skirting or a similar heavy weight leather would work well for you.  It's way more durable and won't have any paint to chip off.

Finally finished my initial set up of the shoulder pauldrons, now I just need to add some extra padding and some straps and its ready for testing its movements at battlefield. Im so excited! Im almost there! Now this is my very first build of anything ever, so maybe pros would see this a little crappy. But I LIKE IT! I worked all day on this and I am very proud of it!

Aloha VP.
Your work looks good. Research your pieces, theres more then plenty of information here if you look for it.

Don't worry if others don't like your work, this is your first attempt at it. You will get better over time.  Just remember the golden rule, measure twice and cut once.

Which is why I used vinnman's templates to start off on. Now the body armor will be slightly more difficult do to how I need to print it.

With the vinn templates I just printed out, cut out and the used as a stencil on the material I used. I'm 5'11" and about 220, I didn't need to enlarge or anything. I just did what I said... Print, cut, stencil.

Vakamapred,

The build looks like it is going great.  Just a friendly word of caution, if someone offers you advice you do not need to take it, but appreciate the fact that someone has read your thread and been bothered to type a response.

Giles: I know, I always consider others advice, but sometimes If I have a good feeling on what I am currently do, I just wing it a little.

gromitbassit: Well if that be the case, Maybe making the upper armor won't be so difficult, But I am just gonna get black foam sheets cause spray painting took FOREVER!

seahunterr: I am just making the armor and a helmet like system for the dreads. I have no interest with making the skin suit. Besides I look terrible in fishnets and extra jaw extensions are cool, but I am just doing something simple first.

Ok, I am thinking of working on the dreadlocks next and I am working with tutorials from youtube but what I need to know is how long do the dreads need to be?

Ok after doing some research, the Dreads are usually made out of backer rods, but getting them to be more "whippy" Is challenging for me cause Im not sure where to get liquid latex so I my just do something else. After talking with some users who sell the dreads, Im just gonna make my own cause with the bomb gauntlet in commission, I need to stay in budget.

Ok so Im saving the Dreads Helmet System for last and decided to work on the chest armor. Once again provided by Vinmanmac, after figuring out how to print large templates, I began my work and approached a different method and I like how these came out! Should have done tracing method on the shoulders when I had the chance. But today I learned something new.

Finally got the chest armor completed! Now its on to my Dreadlock Helmet System! Time to look into these backer rods again. My build below. Let me know what you think. So far I like how everything turned out and it only took.........two days!

Almost there! Just an initial mock up of me wearing my mask and armor, now to do the dread helmet and await status on the Predator CPU Bomb Gauntlet and I am practically done. I might do the wrist blade gauntlet too along with a certain attachment.

So I decided to test my new armor at Battlefield Knoxville along with my mask again. Everything was well planned out and we created a new mode like Boss Battle mode called Predator. It was really fun and everyone had a great time hunting me down, for as long as they lasted in the arena. Everyone wanted a piece of me practically! The Arena artist was kind enough to take some photos too.

After that, I returned home to work on my Dread Helmet System. Here is what I have so far. Now I am not doing those Latex Predator Masks because I do not have the resources necessary to pull it off, so Im doing something simple.

Dread Helmet Completed, Moving on to Dreadlocks using the Backer Rod and Plasti Dip Method. 5/8 Backer Rods. Reason for that is because I like the Super Predator's Dreads on my Armor better since it is full black.

Thanks dude!

Now here I have at least 35 or more Dreads halfway done, the tips have been burned using my stove and will go through some more burning soon but for now I am wrapping them up cause its bed time. Can't believe Im almost done! Once again any tips on future steps would be helpful.

Indeed they did, The Dreads and the Dread helmet is FINALLY Completed! The final step is Mannowar's duty. I commissioned him to create the electronic bomb gauntlet for me but in black of course so I should have this done by Halloween hopefully. But as far as of my end, I am done!
