UBER Cannon.jpgI sculpted this AVP Cannon 5 or 6 years ago. Tbh, it was my 2nd ever Prop attempt. The 1st AVP Cannon was a tad smaller, and static. The idea was to make it fully animatronic capable just like the movie version. I have finally sent a cast off to Honus..... and he is going to be making an animatronic Display for me. Complete with Firing Recoil movement. We nicknamed it, the AVP UBER: Cannon. ;p

Some here may remember this prop. If not, hope you dig what you see here.

People like photos but can be lazy, so they may check the thread see no pics and wander off. The cast is very cool but I don't know what it is from.

Thx. It is the Large Cal. Shoulder Cannon, from the movie.... Aliens Vrs. Predator. Check out the part where the Celtic Pred is shooting Aliens off the Pyramid ceiling.

Thx. Well November is finally here and apparently work has begun on the UBER Cannon. Hoping to see some progress pics and possibly a vid very soon.

That is absolutely stunning! I've got to hand it to you, I appreciate seeing someone put genuine hard work into something, and you can tell you're making an absolute marvel here. Bravo

Sorry, had to bump this to show the Final Animation Sequence for the AVP UBER Cannon!! Link above! ;p Sound effects file is done as far as syncing to the animations. Will post a completed animations/sound effects match vid soon.

Cannon is motion proximity activated. Animatronics and Sound FX/Lighting FX by Honus!
 
This was a really fun project and I'm very pleased with how it turned out. Big thanks to Gary for the opportunity to animate his beautiful cannon!
