Avada Kedavra!!! 1:1 Voldemort Sculpt

Thanks Rich. Yeah i am m gonna play around with the translucency a bit. Do a few tester pieces first to see what it looks like.

Your bust is amazing. :) I have been collecting references for a 1/3 scale statue of Voldemort I am planning to do next year, and I can only hope to do as well as you have. Could you use silicone paints on a resin bust, or do they need to be used on silicone only? I love the realistic quality of silicone paint, especially when you get into veins and translucency, but I prefer the durability of resin. (I have yet to paint anything myself, but I recently acquired an airbrush and am eager to learn.)

Wow thanks a million for the great compliment. He was quite tricky but i think im getting better with each one i do. No you cant paint the resin with silicone paints to the best of my knowledge. They would just peel off when dry. The silicone paints are only used on silicone because the silicone bonds to itself. If you used acrylic paint or something like that it would just flake off a silicone head. What you could do is try tinting a clear Polyurethane resin a translucent white for the figure and then painting it in washes and mottling with the airbrush. This would give a nice translucent effect also. Good luck with everything and be sure to post up your progress here and the guys on here and myself can help you out if you need any advice. Its a great forum, im always learning myself.

Very cool. that's the 1st one I;ve seen painted. The eyes look really cool. Are they painted or eye forms?
The display with the wand looks great.
