Atomic City Website Down

I don't know if it is a simple technical glitch or if Scott decided to save money and shut down the site entirely.
Since he got so far behind in model production and owes so many people kits which have been already paid for (myself included), the site has shifted from a "share the Joy" place to a "where's my kit" forum. Sadly this was the only place where people could find out things about the kit production and if they had a chance to get theirs soon.

To be honest, I have pretty much given up on seeing my Big Aries kit from Scott- it is a fantastic model but no matter how good it is the whole thing is pointless if you do not have it in your hands. I am very happy to see Moebius is releasing a Styrene Aries, that will complete my Grail.

Does anyone know what might be happening with Atomic City and what is behind the site going dark? It has been several says now so it doesn't look good from here...

Yeah, doesn't look good at all. End of an era indeed.
The forums were a great resource but very little traffic over there in the last 12mths so kinda felt the end was nigh.
Very sad to loose it.

Whoever still owns the domain name.. so that hasnt expired.

So either hosting expired, or it was taken down by design:

Scott has been on the ropes financially for quite some time- it could be he just could not pay the bill...

For the hosting at least....

Which is odd... because hosting a forum does not cost THAT much... (I guess depends on the resources needed/space..etc)..

But can be only a few dollars a month..

* Not familiar with the site personally.. just passing on the domain data.

Perhaps using the Internet Archive site you can dig up old posts/tutorials and save them for later use/sharing. (not so much for getting current updates on purchases though) :(

Looks like he took the classic Atomic City front end down and moved it
This is good news in a way, I can still see what is going on with his kit production and his clients can still communicate with each other.
Thanks so much for the update!
