Limited Run Assassin's Creed III Tomahawk

Ok... bad news. The head guy working on the tomahawk for us has moved on to other projects. This type of job takes special work that our usual sword guys aren't comfortable with so we're looking for another artist to join the project. We've got some leads, so it's just an added delay, not an end to the project...

The interest list has now past the 50 mark, but I'm sure once it comes to payment time, half the folks will drop out, so I'll go ahead and keep filling up the interest list until the prototype is finished and we'll see how things pan out.

I need the Axe for a large Assassin's Creed 3 skit so i will need 1 to 2 of these to throw around. 1 will be for the skit 1 will just be for me to hang on my wall :D

Here are the latest prototype photos (wooden master):

I haven't had time to check all the detail yet, but wanted to post these asap. I'll have a good look at them tomorrow myself. But, in the mean time, let me know what you guys think (especially if you think any tweaks need to be made).

Kind regards,
Magnoli

The red lines inside the negative space show the approximate distances from the top of the hole, to the angle where it widens, to the bottom of the hole. The lines on the side show approximately how wide the hole is in relation to the part where the blade attaches to the handle.

Forgot a couple lines. The top two spikey parts are at least as wide as the bottom two, I think actually a touch wider.

Amazing so far! just want to say to make sure the handle is curved like it should when you get to that point! otherwise amazing work!!

I'm so sorry but, I'd like to drop out now :( My economy has taken a turn for the worse since I signed on for this. Still going to follow and undoubtably feel extreme envy when I see the finished product.

Working on the metal prototype right now. I've ordered the feathers and they're on the way:

I'll be trimming them to match the shape of the original.

Kind regards,
