I am trying to put this costume together for my local convention that will be held in Galveston TX. For those of you who are not familiar with the Assassins Creed Franchise this person is the new lead character for the latest installment in the game series. The latest game centers around pirates. So what better venue to debut a pirate cosplay than at a convention held across from the beach!
So I am looking for any and all help with resources, reference photos, existing tutorials for parts that I can use (hidden blade etc..). I am having a particularly hard time with the boots. Anyone who has done pirate costumes in the past if you know of a good source for boots that match the ones in these pictures as closely as possible that doesn't break the bank.
I provided what reference photos I could find below. I also have a opinion question about the harness/vest he is wearing. Does it look like leather or some sort of suede cause it doesn't look like typical leather to me. Any leather alternative suggestions will be greatly appreciated as well.
