Has anybody made any progress on the custom chest/back piece? This what I got for reference, still debating materials for the base. Sorry for the sideways pic.

Yep, we can see your pic.
The base material is most likely foam (like for all the iron man builds here), wrapped in carbon fibre vinyl or fabric for the armour plates and some kind of leather or pleather around it. Check the deathstroke season 2 definitive thread if you haven't already, you'll find tons of info in there !

I'm currently working on it, but only finished the patterns for the back, take a look at my Deathstroke thread !

Tip:

The front and back pieces are the same shape, with the top triangle removed and some of the panels cut in half or shortened.

I'm working on the front right now, the image you first posted doesn't seem too accurate, so I hope to keep you updated
