I guess it was only a matter of time
before I had to pay homage to this icon.
I thought it was going to be a simple, straightforward build. I was wrong.
The kit's snap-build, only 14 parts, including a pull-back motor.

And then, the complications:
I started cutting off the Flux bands & side wiring detail.

The "improved" Flux bands are made of leftover clear runners from a Gundam kit.
The theory, so far, is that ambient light will provide a soft glow through the bands even after a light mist of Alclad II.
Although I'm seriously considering a proper LED option.

The back end had to underwent some surgery, too. I figured it was necessary to "rebuild" the DeLorean underneath first, to get things right.
The wheels were pretty much identical & undersized, so I printed a set of tire rings for the proper size difference.

Fast-forward to the couple of days, and we have an improved back section.

I'm pretty happy with the improvements, so far.

Next on the list is figuring out how to make the wheels fold down for hover mode.
Cheers!
