Anyone here ever repair an MR Neuralyzer?

I'v worked on the mechanics of them for a few but not the electronics. I hate to say for that you will probably need to contact MR direct to see if there is anything they can do. Given its been sold out for so long i don't know if they would be able to give you a replacement or other help. But its your best bet at this point to keep it intact as a MR working piece.

Yup, MR is worthless.
I have the same piece, and had the same problem. The majority of MR electronics suck ass. Yeah, try to let MR know, and you will essentially get a reply (if any at all.) saying to go screw yourself. I've said it before and I'll say it again, I can't wait till that company tanks.

Hi Jim.

That's funny because I've got the same problem with my ICONS Neuralyzer. I changed the batteries but the problem wasn't solved. I will try to see with my father if the electrical circuit is inoperative ????

Perhaps you could go to see your local electrician shop ?

Really makes me @#$%.ing mad. I've had a problem with every MR electronic piece I've ever owned. If any one has ever worked on one of these please chime in.

I'm not a real big fan of electronics in props, especially sound chips... Always seems toy-like to me, and takes away from the "prop" feel, knowing that in film all (most?) sound efects are added in post.

You might be able to contact HyperDyne, He's done the electronics for a neuralyzer before.

I have repaired a few MR TOS P2 'S and Comm's and the only electrical problems i have found were very crappy solder joints. even loose joints covered by heat shrink tubing so they look tight.

the flux is not cleaned of good so the joints oxidize and come loose.

maybe its the makeup or quality of electronic solder in China.

I have seen the bad solder joints on the MR FX sabers as well.

Mine is 402/1000 and works well from the begining. I stop counting the batteries I use...

But if it could really works, you can not imagine the number of people ready to be neuralyzed ...

Ok I stop joking . tell me the problem you have ... Nothing working ?
