Anyone else get their Limited Edition EFX Vader? Boy I did. Take a look...

This is how my order arrived today, left on my front doorstep. I cannot find a phone number on their website to contact them, Fedex told me that they shipped it Saver Service, and they gave it to Postal Force to deliver to me in this condition shown in the attached photos. Had I been here I would not have accepted delivery. $341 and this is how my collectible was delivered. The outer shipping box was wrapped in clear packing tape like a cocoon, the display packaging is shredded and falling apart and it does not retain any collectible/resale value this way.
I almost passed out seeing this on my doorstep delivered like this I've never in my life ever had a package arrive to me this way, least of all containing what is supposed to be a mint packaged limited edition item.

And what's with announcing to the world identifying on the outside what's inside? That too screams "STEAL ME" in transit.

This was my first order from EFX, is this par for the course? I have not heard back from them and don't know how to reach them by phone.

Visually this does not look like it came from the US, this looks like it came over on a boat from HK/China and took the loooong route. heh
I am sure pack mules were involved somewhere along the way.

As a fellow Vader fan, I am sad and happy for you.

How sad, that's is really crappy looking and I am sure we all go, oh ooh, man damd shipping.

Now what's on the inside there, how's that looking?

Any battle damages to report? heh [sorry could not help myself]

Nope. The return address is from EFX in California, they shipped it Fedex Saver who then in turn passed it along to Postal Force, a subsidiary of the US Postal Service as I understand.

I have not opened the inside, nor will I, I did not pay full price on a rare item to have the outer display box shredded like a bunch of wolverines attacked it. I don't think this was Fedex's doing. I think the US Postal Service is an embarrassment they even delivered it this way after damaging it like this,

I hear ya, and a wise choice.
Just was being selfish hoping to see the item out of the box.

I don't care much for boxes so I would have tossed all that and been running around the house with the helmet on. heh

That really sucks.... I've had a package delivered by FedEx and then the post office. I was really annoyed by that. FedEX Saver is really misleading. They use the reputation of Fed Ex, but then the delivery quality of the Post Office.

Just curious how long did it take for you to get it from the day you ordered it?

It's too bad the guy on Ebay is not selling the SE. I'd happily order from him again.

I've actually procrastinated ordering the SE because the only option seems to be to order directly from EFX which I also had a really bad experience doing once in the past.

The helmet should be OK. I was in the opposite camp thinking... "why is there like, 10 inches of space between the outer box and the helmet??!!". My box is in the garage and will only be used to pack up the helmet if I move. Could give a crap. I'll trade you for postage if the lid is ok...

seriously... shoot me a PM.

It took two weeks delivery from when I ordered it the day it was first announced in stock.

What do you mean if the lid is okay, you mean the box lid?

The entire box is torn apart there's no way it would tay together if we traded boxes if I am understanding you correctly?

I think he means, he will give his perfect box if you pay shipping as he doesn't care about the box. .?.

I checked the mask. There's no surface damage, but there's a nice splotch of sticky, uncured paint on the neck I inadvertently brushed my thumb against while handling it that left a mark against the finish. Unbelievable.

Sorry to hear about this. :( When I read the title I thought this was the real Limited Edition EFX Vader, you know, the fiberglass one. Anyway I think this needs returning

I wouldn't be so sure FedEx was not involved in the damage. There are videos of FedEx employees being careless with packages. I realize a FedEx employee did not deliver the package to your door. It looks like the box got crushed by heavier items at some point. That could have been anywhere in the process. I don't think FedEx would stop delivering a package if they damaged it along the way.

I have never understood why Efx, Anovos, or Sideshow/Hottoys plaster the contents of the box all over the outside. I mean I know they use this for inventory and to make sure you get the correct item, but isn't shipping stuff a scanned barcode now?

I remember Master Replicas brown boxes would just say 'SW-1003' or something on the outside. They knew what it was but the postman would have no clue there was a $400 lightsaber inside.

I hate FedEx! I will happily pay more for shipping, if needed, to NOT use FedEx & instead go with UPS or even USPS (who I used to hate). I've never heard of Postal Force, but by the looks of that box, they've earned that name.

If Postal Force is similar to FedEx Smart post, FedEx handles the package most of the way. It transfers to the other delivery service for the final delivery.

Bummer man. On a slightly related note, I had a set of very expensive Polk Audio in-wall speakers for my home theater delivered to my doorstep with the box already opened. Amazon QC issues, I guess. Lucky there was no damage to the speakers themselves.

Is it the same EFX that did the darth maul saber? The logo looks different to me.

In any case, I dont have the saber anymore, but I did for a while, and with that one, the box was the best part. I found the saber to be kinda "meh", but the packaging was just beautiful.

Shame about this. I'm a box saver myself. I don't know why, just...I like having them.
