Jason, will those flashlights work for Mikes TOS Viper engines as well? I want to assume that he used the same engine nozzles, but I figured I would ask first. I'm looking forward to this build.

Sweet build Jason. Love the use of fiberoptics in the cockpit.

Did you ever find those parts? I couldn't find them anywhere in the ESB list of kits.

I know i am biased but that is looking reallllly sweeeet.....I love this funky design

I've had a desire to convert a Monogram Viper into one of these, but the screen caps of it don't yield too much in detailing and I've never seen images of the studio model in normal lighting. Nice to see this studio scale model at least gives some good clues.

Are the engines essentially the same as those found on the Viper, or are they sized a little different? I see they sit higher, but one of the things that I never could quite figure out is if they were bigger, smaller or other.

So, you shooting to get this one done by Wonderfest?

Very nice build Jason!

But wow, you can really tell they just threw the design together from stuff around the shop....

You think? I was surprised at how much they put into it! I assume that the call was for a "retro Viper", so you'd want some touchstones to the pre-existing Viper they had designed, so it didn't surprise me that they used the fuselage and engine/inlets. I think a lot of things were changed in subtle ways that they didn't necessarily have to do, considering time constraints with making those models... but of course, that's my opinion, lol!

You could say that they made the RagTag Fleet from stuff they had laying around the shop, ya know, hehe.

Very nice Jason, loving the paint work. This being a resin cast build up, its pretty damn sharp, kudos to Mike S, thats some killer casting!

He is SO GOOD. I tried to raise the bar with the master, and worked closely with Mike to make sure he could cast what I was making. If I never have to make another kit with clayed under bits, I will die a happy man. Doing everything I can to set a new standard :)
