Ant-Man Suit

Hello, I’m curious what kind of material was used for the Antman suit Paul Rudd wore in the movies. I know it was a motorcycle suit but is there a certain leather? Is there a certain way they were able to stain the red pattern on the leather?

Pretty new to this so I’m just trying to understand the process how they would’ve done it for the film to see how close I’d be able to get it to being movie accurate. Thanks in advance !

Despite the appearance, almost all hero costumes Marvel makes, are made from screen printed lycra.

Despite looking like motorcycle gear, it is 100% custom and is made of 3 parts: the pants, the body/sleeves, and a vest separate from the sleeves that goes over the main body.

The closest you’ll find to this are the suits made by Leather Fashion Valley and White Sheep Leather.
