ANOVOS TIE Fighter Pilot - Completed Ensemble... ugh.

I don't think the back plate or the helmet are "misshapen". The original pieces from the original films (Screen used-Lucas Archive) are all misshapen and a-symmetrical. The original sculptures where pretty poor when it came to symmetry. The original patterns also had plywood end-grain and chips when the parts where originally vacuum formed and all of these flaws had to be reproduced exactly, per direction of LF.

As far as the hoses, again, originals where not superior quality and the hoses are just "screwed into the holes". But I have less knowledge of the production of the helmets.

Snapped a few photos of the helmet/chestbox but haven't had time to document the entire ensemble. Ran into another snag as the bolts don't seem to fit the chest armor. (mentioned by Koushiro Izumi in the above post) Obviously very frustrated by this product on many levels, especially considering I have two other ensembles on order with them (AT-AT driver and the Classic Snowtrooper) and this doesn't exactly inspire confidence. Have no doubt they can produce great helmets but their "heart" doesn't seem to be in delivering great ensembles... which as a fan of these characters/armors is pretty disappointing.

p.s Yes i'm one of those people who handle their props with linen gloves. Don't judge :lol

Don't worry about that, you are in good company here on that one.

Sorry to hear about all your problems on this one as the helmet and chest box look beautiful.

I hope everything gets worked out to your satisfaction and thanks for the pics

I'm building an Anovos TIE Pilot kit. I'm hoping there is another option for connecting the hose to the mask aside from forcing it into the holes. I've seen at least one printed quick connect options on the web but not one that is decidedly good or effective. Any updates in the last two and a half years? Love to know if there's someone offering a good connection part. I can't seem to find this addressed on JRS either.
