Just picked mine up.

Wow! Really really nice helmet. Nice enough that i'm pissed that now i'm going to have to buy the high-end helmets - thanks a lot man

Feels pretty heavy duty to me. Feels like an actual football helmet - not that i'd try to use it for contact . Came with extra padding. I'll definitely need one on the top of my head. It was a tight fit, and without that top pad it is crunching my nose up when i wear it. I figured it'd be bigger from the photos, but maybe i'm just bigger than the actors. Very nice interior lining. I'd add photos, but as soon as I went to take it one it said, 'no flash due to low battery', then proceeded to shut itself off because battery was dead.

My only real issue is that i wish the green lights lit up

Going to have to use my christmas vacation to figure out where to start putting stuff. The desk is way too crowded.

There are some pics of it on the Anovos thread. I think Anovos is finally on a solid streak for shipping products. I've received about 6 products from them this year.

Just checked it out on their site. They charge a handling fee on top of a shipping fee? Entertainment earth is free shipping and it's $ 615 there. NO shipping/handling charges.

I wouldn't be worried about long delays for products like this that are in stock. It's the pre-orders that take a long time.

yeah, i was more or less wanting to know if they are supposed to light up. i dont see where they do in the trailers for the film. kind of wanting to know if it is confirmed that they do in fact light up.
only because i have seen some fan made renditions that do light up. and the Hot toys DT doll's light up. but, they got the buckle wrong on their R1 Vader so not sure if its just something they are doing and everyone is taking it as literal that they light up in the film because trey are having them light up on theior figure.

yeah im sure with some meticulous dremeling and modifications it could be possible to light the m up. but i dont see the need to do so if they dont light up in the film.

The lights are a good question. Several products show them lighting up, but I haven't been able to find an image from the film showing them lit up. Maybe it is only in certain situations that they turn them on.

Lucasfilm must have included the lights in the helmet reference. It wouldn't make sense for several products to include that orherwise.

I will be annoyed if Anovos has this helmet then releases a version later that does light up.

This helmet does not light up. In fact, while the structure to be lit was there in the screen used, from our observation of the prop it was not used . Thus, we opted do exactly what they did (go figure, replicate ...) which is provide the same structure down to the led hole and keep it accurate to the observed helmet and also keep it cheaper to an already expensive helmet.

Interesting. Sounds like products from different manufactures will have a consistent feature that doesn't appear on film. Makes you wonder if that is an official feature of the in universe helmets or not.

But you say there's a hole from inside the helmet to behind the green piece for enterprising folks? Or is it just a hole on the ouside where an LED would have sat - if one was there to begin with - which, at this point, no one's really sure.

Every once in awhile Got Maul will answer questions--it's the ONLY way to get ANY information from Anovos. Facebook says ask Online Chat, Online Chat says it doesn't know anything more than the release calendar, the release calendar just changes to the next quarter when the promised delivery quarter ends. Never any communication from them as to why, when things might come, did the boat from china with all the armor get eaten by a whale...
