I just recently got Phil's brilliant Yoda sculpt and have been painting the head this past day and a half. Here's what I got done so far (please excuse the crappy pic quality):

I'm pretty proud of it. Still have a long way to go (still need to finish the head!) but I'll get there eventually.

looking great!!!

What kind of eyes are you using?
Are these the ones from the recent group order?
Reason I´m asking is because I´m also working on my 2nd Yoda right now and the cantor and Nissel eyes don´t have the "depth" I´m looking for.
Yours look great and the paintjob is killer.

Thanks for all the kind comments guys. :)

Clouds: I'm acutally using cheapie acrylic paints I got from Walmart. Paid about .99 cents for a bottle.

Odiwan: The eyes are from Propcollectors recent run. I think he's still able to order a set for you if you talk to him.

Thanks for the reply Joe. Look forward to your progress and it looks to be a great start for a very life like Yoda.

Great artist can create wonders with basic resource.:love

Thanks again, guys! Here's another quick pic I took at work.

Still not done, but I've tried to get the grubbiness of the ESB Yoda face down (from HD screen caps). Need to finish the neck, back of the head, ears and do a little more dirtying to the head (on top of adding the hair, of course).

Anyone have any pointers on how to attach the head and limbs?

The paintjob looks great Joe! Really looking forward to seeing how you build this up. Attach the arms and legs to the torso using wire with foam sheeting wrapped around to give the form and thickness of the limbs.

This look is my favourite.... looks so alive, just waiting for the little guy to talk.

Thanks again, guys! Here's another quick pic I took at work.
