ANH Vader Rocker Colors

Just got some cool new wooden rockers from TOSPHASER for my ANH chestbox. I know I saw a thread somewhere on the correct colors for these, but after well over an hour of searching RPF and several other boards I cannot find it (that will teach me to save more URL's :rolleyes)

Can anyone point me in the right direction? As I recall the correct colors were from Humbrol, but there were some Testors colors available here in the States that were also very close.

Use a flat white, and a very dark gray (almost black) for the others. It should almost look a medium gray when a bright light is on it.

Ok, sorry I was not more detailed in my question - I figured that much out about 30 years ago :lol. Was looking for something more specific like maybe a color name/number.

After trying out a couple of different colours on mine i went with Humbrol #34 white and Humbrol #32 dark grey and am pretty happy. Depending on the light the grey switches go from nearly black to a lighter grey if thats any help to you.

Thx FBJ, that looks very nice. I'll try RedFrog and see if they have the Humbrol colors. Are those RussRep rods on there?

Oh, and did you paint the red light? I know the red ones are VERY hard to come by. If you did paint it what color did you use for that?

Looks perfect fbj I used Tamiya flat white and flat dark gray paints. They brush very well.

You are correct, i am using Russ' rods and coinslots and the red switch was a clear one that i painted.

I used another humbrol i think it was Fearrari red, i painted the switch and then after 10-15 mins washed most of the paint off to leave it kind of stained more than painted. I think it is okay maybe could be a darker red to match the originals better.
