What if it were Berry Gordy's The Last Jedi... with an awesome '80s hip hop soundtrack? It would be the best, movie, evah (only partially joking as I absolutely love Berry Gordy's The Last Dragon)!

I'm not sure how I feel about the title. On the one hand I feel like it's kind of underwhelming. I think because there's no action to it, like strikes back, revenge, return, attack. Although, A New Hope doesn't have that either. On the other I'm like, "THAT'S LUKE! OH MY GOD OH MY GOD OH MY GOD!"


Also, as I was reminded by one of my friends, the plural of Jedi is Jedi, so that throws a whole other wrench into the spokes. Very excited for the movie and to see Old Luke in action. I'm sure the title will grow on me.
 
I'm pretty unimpressed with this title. Most of us here have been Star Wars fans most of our lives and I feel like "The Last Jedi" is a title to a short story every 10 year old version of ourselves wrote in elementary.
I'm not saying the film will be bad, I'm very much looking forward to it. The title just doesn't work for me.

I think phonetically it has too few syllables. What I'll hold onto is that the title will reveal itself to have something deeper than literally just "there's only one left"

I'm definitely with you there, I'm sure it's a lot deeper than the title, and that there will be some big meaning behind it. It's just the title itself feels hollow to me.
Like anyone who has a little remote knowledge of Star Wars could come up with it. I think I've heard people unfamiliar with the whole franchise mistake that for the title of Return of the Jedi, that's all I'm getting at.
I enjoyed TFA, so I'm sure I'm gonna love this one, especially since we know we're going to see me Luke in action.
 
The title seems odd to me because it isn't like being the only Jedi recently happened. Maybe it means something happens where there will be no more in the future.

I like it more than I initially liked "The Force Awakens". It just hit me immediately. Maybe it was the red "Star Wars" around it that appealed to me.
