...and it comes permanently attached to the display.

I was looking through an Entertainment Earth catalog and they had some prop replicas from the "Watchmen" movie. I noticed that both items (one was a grappling hook, another a pair of 1911 Colt looking guns) said that the items were permanently attached to the display. I saw some Wolverine claws a while back that also said they were not removable from the display. So who would buy a prop that you can't pick up and wave around? Are they just saying that for legal reasons and you can actually remove them? It wouldn't make sense otherwise.

That is exactly what I ran into with the Noble Collection Batman Begins Grapnel gun. I called them and they said that it was permanently attached to the case. Well, 3 screws and it was out of the case no problem.

Unfortunately you have to either purchase it or find someone that has it get the real answer with this stuff.

Sad to say I think it is a sign of the lawsuit-filled times. While I would love to blame them, they are just responding to the environment. Limit your liability and protect yourself from the greedy.:unsure

im thinking its much the same as the constantine shotgun, they said its mounted to the base, but with a little work it can be removed.....

regardless i want a good version of rorshachs grapple gun. may just buy the DC direct one as a guide...
