Amazingly cool prop from an amazingly bad movie.

Got this little number in the mail today:

It's a working Bat Heater from Batman & Robin. I've got a video of it working, along with some more information on my blog. Check it out here:

As far as the movie goes, it would never occur to me to pursue this prop. If anything, its kind of a stupid gag that it plays in the movie. HOWEVER, it's just such an incredibly well made piece that I simply couldn't resist. HenryWayne does amazing work, and I am a huge fan of anything he produces. Thanks Henry!!!

They were used to thaw out frozen scientists in the observatory Freeze used to ice up Gotham... I haven't seen this movie in years, but some things can't ever be forgotten.

I will thank HenryWayne by proxy for all of the kind words on this prop. It's such a nicely built piece. Easily "master replicas" quality level. Shame that its from such a lame movie!!!

FWIW, henry is also the guy who did the working, metalized Batman Sonar batarang. He also did a working Forever belt buckle. Both amazing pieces, with unbelievable levels of quality. I'm hoping he tackles the 89 spear gun eventually.

This forum is awesome! I would never have noticed this prop without it. I read this old thread recently and then totally lucked out searching for 'henry wayne bat heater' on ebay; only 1 result, exactly what I was looking for. And here it is, just a few days later. Very nicely built, slick light effects.

Good catch dude! Glad I could help point you in the right direction. It is indeed a really beautiful piece! My only lament is that henry doesn't crank out more peices more often.

As far as fan made pieces go, I think he is easily in the top ten of the hobby. Just stunningly beautifully crafted and researched pieces. Please give us more Henry!
