Amazing Spider-Man 2 - Zentai Suit Conversion

Hi all,

I'm really looking forward to seeing the Amazing Spider-man 2 and going to the London Film & Comic con in a few months time.

I'd love to suit up and go, building a really nice suit and going down the whole FOD road is outta my £££'s and time range.

I've seen the ASM 2 Zentai suit on Zentai Zone - New 3-D Spandex Lycra Amazing Spiderman 2 Zentai Costume [30281] - $75.00 : Buy zentai, spandex

I'm thinking of maybe trying to puffy paint it, only the red areas and fitting a pair of T-Jacks lenses onto it.
Obviously it wouldn't be movie accurate.

Think it'd look okay?

I heard that the 3D patterns that Zentai is using was stolen from a member of this forum's work. I wouldn't support that if true (I could be wrong)

I personally like the TASM 1 suit better and ordered one from them a week ago. It's not the 3D but the one SpiderSparrow modified, I think he did an amazing job and hope to do something similar. Since I'm on a budget, I will make the lenses myself similar to the TASM 2. We'll see how that turns out as a hybrid.

I say go for it :)

I made my suit using a ZentaiZone suit. The puffy paint works, but it wears off easily. They do look good when finished, but the webbing may not always line up so I recommend using the puffy paint to mask it in those areas.

Those Zentai costumes make me cry a little.
LMAO! :lol

For the money and for what they are, they are really not a bad starter costume. My very first Spidey costume was from ZentaiZone and it's held up VERY well for almost two years now and regular use every other weekend. All I did to it was shoe goo some aqua socks soles to the bottom and tada! Good to go.
I'm ready to step up though now and build my own TASM 2.

Didn't they steal Orhadar's pattern?

Hey guys this is my first post but I would like to say Zentai-Zentai is now making clients buy the Orhadar Patterns on Gun Head Design!, here's an example if you don't believe me. Costumes Draft Idea of [#ZZ5132065] . They aren't really bad guys, they just help people that don't have the money to get the fabric from fabric on demand and get it shipped and sewn by a tailor and spend possibly over $100. But they are giving Orhadar full credit for the prints of his suits and they are printing and sewing it for you after you buy it. Big thanks to Orhadar for making a real Spider-Fan become Spider-Man!

-Thanks-

Welcome to the forums. I know you mean well for your first post but I'm going to have to disagree with you.

I checked their website and I was able to go through all the way on placing an order. I didn't order, of course, but I was able to reach the Check-Out and payment page without them asking me to buy Orhadar's pattern. Not even a hint. The link you provided is some sort of a BS"apologetic" page, because the news of them stealing patterns blew up exponentially. This is common among companies with questionable business practices.

Stealing is bad, especially if you use it for your own profits without regard for the person who provided all the hard work. This is exactly what this website/company did - steal patterns and profit off of other people's work. My point is this company is bad. Their business model is unethical and questionable. Their suits are cheap because their products are cheap.

Thats fine everyone is entitled to they're own opinion. I know its wrong but what happened to Eijjix23 for posting about his suit he bought from them and he got banned. If you ask me thats wrong he just wanted to share his suit that he worked on to the community and he got banned for it, if you look at his suit it isnt bad, it looks cool. Im just saying, now I dont want to get into a huge argument like what happened to him so this may be my last post on this specific thread. Thanks for your input on the subject matter, and goodbye for now Spider-Fan.

Here's the thing, this is not a matter of opinion, did they ask permission to sell files from orhadar? No. They aren't even crediting him on the ASM2 suit they have, which looks exactly like orhadars. It is blatantly stealing and everyone on this board knows it. Done.
