Looking for someone that can mill out some aluminum Republic Commando aerators with the accurate republic cog vents in the tips. They need to be hollow to make them functional for fan intakes or speakers. PM me if you can help.

Thanks,

Any metal workers out there with the ability to do this job, or suggestions of who to ask???

UK is ok, :lol Weather might not be that good!!
If theres some thing you need PM me or email me with a pic so I can see it,
Thanks
Russ

Well guys, this is what I'm trying to get done.

The black in the front view is cut out negative space, and the dotted line in the side view is an indication of the hollow space in cross section. It's a small project, that i hope to not spend a mint doing. Which is why I am trying to avoid the standard machine shop route. i need a half to maybe a full dozen of these little babies, but if it proves to be too cost prohibitive I'll just have to settle for the standard resin blanks that all other RC's are using.

Thanks for the info and potential help Lads.

You're absolutely right. Madog, I think this is a great idea, and if you do go ahead with getting these commissioned by Russ, I would be interested in a pair if you're willing to share the design with other RC's.

I have no problem sharing my design. As I see it, my design is based on what I think the original concept was originally. I am in discussions with Russ now to get the design just right. So far I have asked him of the possibilities of threading on the back shank and black anodizing. We are also trying to figure out if the aerators should be one piece or a tube with an inset front disk with the design lazer cut out of it. The first option would have a flush front surface with a seamless edge. The second option would have a stepped bezel type of edge around the front. What do you guys think is the best option? My decision was going to be based on price { which one was affordable }, but if there is an interest by other RC's, maybe this will make the entire project more affordable through quantity sales for Russ. But, I don't want to speak for Russ, it's really up to him, what price to set and what quantity he is willing to run.

This is what I have purposed to Russ so far. With black anodizing on all but the threads. Still not sure about the front surface being one piece or made separately and inset.
