Aluminum brushed metal effect?

If were to do this.... I would go to a VERY respectable sign shop. The best shops usually will have the best printers. 15-20k printers lol.

Are you looking for a flat surface effect just like your picture or a brushed effect for a helmet/armor? The flat surface in your pic as said would be best printed as that is what it looks like. For armor or helmets, silver base with layers of dry brush - remove part - dry brush again. You can remove parts of layers with solvent or steel wool depending on what type of paint you use. I use steel wool.

Yeah actually it's for my iron man costume. I wanted the gold part of the helmet to have a dry brush effect. I can see how you can do with the silver but what other colors would you use to achieve that effect? Your helmets look awesome!

I'm by no means an expert, to me it looks like you achieve the brushed effect by dry brushing the base coat with a color that is a few shades darker than the base color.
