Nothing fancy but I thought I would post this since I bought this helmet a few weeks ago from DonnieDarko688 in the JY.
Just a little work with the Dremel, some sanding, and a little paint and I am happy with the results. I just need to get a visor somewhere for it and she will be done. While it is no MR in quality with my painting skills, it does fall under my rule for my SW helmets, which is less then a $100 investment.

Don't sell yourself short. That looks GREAT! Nice job on the painting. Looks like he's seen a little action out there on the field.

Thanks.
I tend to like clean, new looking, helmets over weathered ones, but in this case (with the Clone Wars going on when these helmets were in use) I thought it would be a good one to look like it has seen some action. When it comes to the weathering I always find it hard to know when enough is enough, and trying to balance it out. I liked how this one turned out. I tried using Water based paint for the weathering so after I was done (but before it was dry) I could use a wet cloth and "erase" places where I went overboard, or places where it was too dark and drawing your eye to one spot more then others.
I am currently working on painting a Republic Commando helmet and I will try the same approach and see how it work - with maybe a little less weathering since I expect the Commando to be a better fighter.:)

I would like to know where you got a kit for less than $100?

I am very interested.

PS: That is a beautiful bucket man. Do not sell yourself short.

Thanks!
It took a while to find one under $100. I just kept an eye out for one both on Ebay (where I about things like this being a recast) and the Junkyard here. This is one of the helmets I had the hardest time finding under my budget (I do the same thing with Lightsabers - all metal **non-FX** for under $100 which has been just as hard, or I should say just as "challenging") but I am very happy with the helmet.
I just need to find a visor...after all the dremel work to get the eye holes cut out it bothers me sitting undone...

Good eye!
That is indeed Spidey.
That is the Mike Hill sculpted bust of spidey based on Alex Ross' drawing. I loved that line of Full Sized Marvel busts, but so far I only have spidey, the Thing, and Capt. America. They are all just fantastic looking - although Spidey is my favorite.
I still need Wolverine, Hulk, & Dr. Doom!
