Aliens Warrior Suit

Hey all,

I've been on this site for awhile now so thought it was time to share my pride and joy. I built an Alien warrior a few years ago. It was a kit that I pain stakenly put together! After 3 months build and attending a few conventions with it the end product turned out to be better than I expected.

I also featured in a "fan film" not too long ago (details with held for now!)

But here are a few pictures of the suit itself ....

Alien1 : So... I talked to George in cubicle 3C ...said there's going to be company layoffs by end of quarter.

Alien2 : yah... should make the company picnic pretty interesting this year. Say, could you pass the nachos ?

The pics of you two in the seats and the with Ian Whyte are my favorites. Awesome Monsterroom costumes!

Man, great work on that alien suit...best I've seen, and the head on yours looks much better and more realistic than the other one pictured. Well done:thumbsup

Fantastic work! I do have a request though. Can we get some pics of the Aliens running around town doing everyday activities? It'll be hilarious.

Echoing the above, we need pics of you out and about in town. Maybe at an Orkin shop or checking into a motel.

My kids would drop a load if they say an alien live. They made me ride the 'Great Movie Ride' at Disney four times just to see the alien come out of the ceiling at them. Now they want me to do the USCM costume-might be fun.

Anyway, great costume and pics.

Thanks for all the wonderful comments guys! I'm not a professional costume maker, but found this a delight to build! I wanted it to look as close to the film as possible.

I am on the lookout for someone to add lips/tendons to the mouth section. Would anyone be willing to help an ol'bug out? :)

Here are a few new pictures for you:

I removed the middle spine to help the head sit back against the top two spines (just like the film) it also helps me move the head alot better too.

For tendons around the mouth, most people (including the real film makers) use condoms or balloons, both of which being latex can be colored with the same paints you'd use on the rest of the latex costume.

Yes i agree with the condoms idea, i myself also have built an Aliens suit and used 6 condoms for tendons and ligaments around the mouth area, and on the day of conventions i spread clear slime all over the jaws, here's a pic.

The second shot is during construction and unpainted (with black liquid latex, sealed with perma-wet). I just cut the condoms along the seam and wiped all the lubricant off and superglued in position (it is very strong)

P.S. great paint job on the head hssssssssss

Really great pictures BuGz! I really love those two pics in the electrical looking room/storage area....very creepy and cool:cool

bugs man loving it.. as the guys have said condoms for the tendons.. I'm building a bug head at the moment.. gonna be adding working lips to it aswell. witch will be attached to a faceplate that fits on the weares head and will work the jaws....

Thanks for all the great coments and useful information! :thumbsup

I'm stripping down the head and going to re-work it. I'll be adding a new neck, top teeth with additional parts such as moveable jaw and lips and tendons!

Will update this thread once I start!

Bit of fun...
