aliens and avp time line

well, ill post it again here, as the other topic kind of evolved in a stupid way and I would still like to hear your ide on this one.

Because in aliens 2 wayland must live, because Bishop the "robot" is in it. In aliens 3 he is still alive and you see the real wayland. Now I dont know how many weeks/months/years after the aliens 2 that they crash down and aliens 3 begins, but I have always thought that alien 1 was some how in the future, alien2 and 3 was even longer out in the future, but they cant be because wayland lives in AVP year 2004 and he dies in it, so AVP must be the last movie. Now Ripley is "sleeping through" space in 57 years (from movie 1- movie 2). 2004- 57 is year 1947 ans then im not counting the years from alien 2- 3 and 3- AVP.

This means that alien 1 is from 194? !!!!

Now roundhammer told me that aliens took place in 2079, if this is right, then AVP must be before alien, if this is right, how can Bishop bea real person in aliens 3, if he died several years before in AVP? I know someone told it was not the realy Bishop, but he had the red human blood. I myself belive when they made aliens 3, that this Bishop was supposed to be the real one. Do you people know something I dont?

wayland lives in AVP

Just goes to show that the Anderson and the AVP team were not on the same page as everyone else. Bishop was way to old looking for AVP to be first. Unless they found some miracle cure to reverse the aging process.

Just another inconstancy. I say we pretend AVP never happened.

PURISTS FOREVER!

wasnt the weyland in alien 3 a clone? sent to make sure ripley saw a friendly/familiar face? maybe I imagined this but thats what I thought.

i think that the weyland in alien 3 is either a clone or a more realistic robot. oh and by the way AVP2 is gonna Rock!

Did you also thought he was a clone when you first saw alien3 or are you just trying to find a way to fill out the holes in the time line after AVP came out?

I find all this very strange.

pleace dont go offtopic, I would really like some serious answers.

the answers are there if you dig, but your not digging in the right places. you see when I was looking into how it all connects, they do state(although hard to find), that everything predator connects to itself and the same with alien, which means they were careful to do the same with AVP. even sources of the predator which were unknown to many such as the game "predator: concrete jungle" tied into the overall story, and in that you find where the weyland corp partnered up with the yutani corp as well, which wasn't until 2030, when the weyland corp had covered up his death by cloning. if you've ever wondered about how oomans had such a jump in technology from when predator 1 came and when we first met the alien, this is why, they recieved much of their technology from the yautja, hence the use of non-bullet weaponry. the weyland did die in 2004, and you did see real blood in alien 3 because it was a person, just a clone of a person... I know a bit more.... so if you curios...

.................................................That was a real answer, dude. It makes perfect sense...
Notice how he still talks casually and humorously after half his head is barely hanging by some skin and some skull after being hit by a crowbar.

It does all make sense, and in all honesty it's not nearly as easy to track this storyline as it is movies like star wars and such, which is no insult to them, I personally love star wars and own a lightsaber, but... I do think that people who try hard to understand and follow the storyline of the aliens and predators and how they mix will find more depth and pleasure in it because it actually takes effort, it's not handed to you on a silver platter... but you have to be willing to watch all the movies, read the novels, play the games, and everything (although the comics really didn't interfere with the storyline at all, just gave supporting details), through all this you'll see it all become easy, just like finally understanding how to work a math problem, just takes time and effort, and it's not easy, for one, I hate math...

yes I do remember that weyland partherned up with another "firm"(yutani) I just never thought it had any thing to do with the preator/yautja.
But dont you think its limited how much technology they got from predator 1, I meen their was not much left to study.
So you are telling me right after predator 1 they started up a firm called yutani and begon developing laser weapons? So we just dont hear about yutani in predator 2 or alien?

What year is predator 1 and predator2?

yes just tell me what you know.

Hey. it would be great to draw a storyline and write shortly the highlighs.

It would be really cool to write it all out and organize it, lot of work though. and predator 1 was in 1987 and predator 2 was in 1997, but it was in 1930 when another predator came and it was his technology that was left that was used by the foolish oomans, but they didn't grasp this technology until after weyland was dead, I've even heard some say he didn't want to use it from fear of it bringing the predators back. however after his death and insertion of the clone weyland, the company began researching and reverse engineering the technology and learned it's secrets. then in 2030 what the original weyland feared happened, the predators of the particular tribe came back to fix what their technology had caused, and though the predators were successful in doing so, the damage was done and oomans now had interplanetary travel, plasma weaponry, among other things. this is why the alien franchise and story line is set in the future starting in 2083-2084. it obviously took us some time to master interstellar travel, but once we did, oomans successfully screwed up the universe instead of just earth, and the weyland-yutani corp is the powerhouse of all this, much like the umbrella corporation in the resident evil story, in control of all weaponry, politics, and can cover anything up, even massive deaths... but just to have it on the record, the predators tried to warn us by taking the stuff back... oh, and yutani joined with weyland shortly after the predators came back for their technology in 2030, after seeing that weyland was going to take over anyway...

great, where did you get this? with all this info, just must also have been looking at the comics or what?
I was wonder how how many predators that have been on earth and why should they even come to earth and hunt humans, when they have the alien as the ultimate prey? also, do YOU count concrete jungle in the time line?

I'd like to throw in my two cents here.

They are all different Weylands, for the record. I thought that the one in Alien 3 was just one of his decendants or something, like... A great grandson, I don't know. I'd like to make a record of the names.

AVP- Charles Bishop Weyland
Aliens- Lance Bishop Weyland (Robot)
Alien 3- Michael Bishop Weyland

They share the same middle and last name, though one only has it due to being a robot. But I would assume that Weyland had a son, therefore it was probably his decendant.

I do consider concrete jungle as part of the timeline because it falls into place perfectly, and it's basically predator 3... and none of that data came from the comics, I'm not sure which timeline they follow. and countless predators have been to earth, probably in the hundreds range, as AVP shows they came for the ritual every 100 years. in P1 and P2 they mention that the hunters come in the hottest years when there is war here, the heat attracts them, and the war makes it easy for them to find our best warriors, and worthy trophies. and while the xenomorphs(aliens) and their ritual hunt, they consider humans to be the supreme hunt, because we are capable of leveling their intelligence and finding a way to fight back that could actually succeed. We are the most prized trophy in the predator's collection, and we are also much like an endangered species to them, because they have to have special hunting rights to come to earth to hunt us. yes if we get in the way like in AVP they kill us off for secrecy, but it's not a hunt, they do not keep trophies for that, and if an un-blooded predator goes rouge and starts hunting humans without the proper rights, he is killed, while any predator can hunt the alien whenever they can find them, though they have to have rights to kill or capture a queen. and as far as weyland goes, you can believe he's an android, clone, or decedent in the 3rd movie, but either way, it is not the original founder of the company that died in 2004...

You have to tell me more about weyland, his firm and yutani.
I thought I new most about predator since I have been I fan for over 10 years (yes I do have dreads with rings and have had them for over 6years ), but I have never been a big AVP fan. I just bought ALL the AVP and predator comics and novels on amazon and its fun to se more of the predator, even though I dont see it as "pure/classic" predator.
After reading more and more novels/comics and getting facts from you, I do think the histories and time lines can be put togeather, but I will never belive that the predators was "gods", I just think this point is to stupid.
I think the predatos comes to the earth to offen now, both every 100year, but also to hunt people. It was more scary when they rarely came to earth, but this Is only my opinion.
By the way, what commic did we get the yautja name from?
