Finally got around to seeing this. It reminded me of nothing more than "Primer," but about A.I.s instead of time travel. Maybe not a fair comparison, since Primer was a total mindf-k, and Ex Machina is fairly linear.
I recommend it. It had some interesting twists and turns that I wasn't expecting (except in retrospect, where they make sense). Oscar Isaac is great as the genius billionaire (and possible psychopath?) Nathan.
