Last year we won first place in a Halloween home decorating contest and we wanted to enter again this year to have more fun, and also to keep everyone on their toes! Some might remember our entry last year HYH: Contestant Details
I was largely responsible for every element except the aliens. I designed and my dad and I built mostly everything.
Ours is Albert Street Invasion and you can check us out at HYH 2010 | Welcome back to Canada's ONLY Hallowe'en Home Decorating contest presented by WARDS LLP where I'd love if you guys would be willing to sign up and post comments for us since we can't get any votes (since we won first place last year). If you wanted to vote for other people that's cool because we want the contest to be popular and a success, plus there are some really cool entries. Adelaide Street Cemetery is someone we know too.
Albert Street Invasion
One thing I quite enjoyed was one of the props I made for our Area 39 which I call the Flux Reactor (which may be obvious why I named it that). It was pretty much a throw together prop that I had little time to build and no money really to put into it. I think it turned out pretty cool, and especially like the photos (for once).
and a video of it in action (click to watch)
