Adventure type movie props

In the last couple of years I've gone through pretty much my entire prop collection and thinned out most of the Sci Fi stuff and now I only collect props from adventure type movies. Movies such as Indiana Jones, The Goonies, National Treasure, Jurassic Park, etc.

I've had a few ideas for some other props that haven't been made yet, but I'm wondering what sort of stuff others have come up with. Thanks guys, I'm really looking forward to seeing what others have done, or are thinking of.

I think Allan Quatermain was played by Richard Chamberlain. I haven't seen them since they were on the big screen. Maybe worth a look see.

I love any props from the first Mummy movie with Fraser. Great movie and outfits.

Cheers

Although I did like the Mummy movies, I never picked up a prop from either movie. There just wasn't one that I either liked enough, or was quality enough.

Well I just ordered them on NetFlix. I was going to try to make a prop from the movie Journey to the Center of the Earth with James Mason. I thought I'd give the plumb bob a try.

I always thought the Shadow kinda had a adventure flavor to it. The setting for plenty of the film was outside of america.

Hey, how about The Golden Child :lol That was sorta adventurey.

Ironic you would pick those two movies. If you buy the knife from either film they are both so close to each other you could pull off either movies.

I love the shadow movie...:love However (for me) for it to qualify to make my collection it has to be a prop that a regular guy could use, or would come across. That's most of the Indiana Jones props, or the National Treasure items, Goonies, Jurassic park.... Just my tastes guys.:rolleyes

Do they have to be movie props or could they also be items that those characters would/could have had but we never saw on screen?

I have some papyrus from my friend's last trip to Egypt and have made some neat Egyptian scrolls.

There are some neat video game props as well (bear with me here). Assassins Creed has Leonardo Da Vinci stuff as well as Templar lore and the like. What I wouldn't do for that wrist blade! Best part is it's all something that some random guy could find if he was in the right place at the right time.

I never played the game but a local company Museum Replicas sell the Assasin Creed stuff.
Also I believe the purbha dagger falls into the blind luck stumble category.

Oh yea.... I got a purbha dagger when the Shadow first came out, but my boys were pretty small then and my wife had a cow, so I had to get rid of it.

Its a very old thread, but I have that diamond become from a crew member. Would cool to see more quatermain stuff..
