Accurate ANH/ESB chestbox ..

Re: Accurate ESB chestbox

Awesome work there!

Looks about as dead on as you can get for a scratch build. :eek

Re: Accurate ESB chestbox

Yeah, I gotta say that box is about as good as it gets, IMO. I know that the other chestboxes you've mentioned rock, but man you can tell the difference. You've done a tremendous job of capturing the "look". I read on the Den the extensive amount of work you did and it has definitely paid off. You've put some blood, sweat and tears into it and it looks great.:thumbsup

Re: Accurate ESB chestbox

Paul, your dedication to this project is nothing short of astounding and it shows in your research and results. Well done.

Re: Accurate ESB chestbox

I also admire your passion for this specific undertaking.

It all boils down to the question....will you do a run of chestboxes ? ;)

Re: Accurate ESB chestbox

Thanks once again...

OdiWan72, I have a slight dilema... as I did not want to make too many casts, just a select few limited runs of just the blanks. This has not been made official yet but I have almost sold out in a couple of days just from PM's asking for a copy so I have increased the order slightly.

I will post details at a later date in the Prop Den Black Market and maybe here on the JY..The master copy was sent yesterday to the mouldmaker :thumbsup

That looks great, excellent job :thumbsup

I've had a few things on the "to do" list and a new box was on it, I finally got around to it last weekend, I'm pretty pleased with the way it turned out.

Cheers,

Kraig

My mouldmaker painted one of my boxes in what he claimed to be 5 minutes..

He said he just wanted to do it in rough just to get an idea..by placing some ANH compoenents on it.

He has not gone for Accuracy which he told me to MAKE clear to people..

This is the first pull from the mould..I think the results are fantastic and although he painted it up in rough I think it looks great and captures that ANH bashed up look..

This is my box and how it could look..and it could look even better with an accurate paint job..

Enjoy the pictures..I am very happy with the results overall..

Compoenents belong to other vendors and they are my Mouldmakers parts which he bought off of others...The parts are for DISPLAY purposes only..I do not offer complete boxes. I am once again displaying the blank which I made.

Please note: Unfortunately all 30 from the 1st run have sold out..well I have 1 left..They pretty much went in a few days via PM..I only did a for sale thread to sell 6 at the Prop Den Yesterday..I may do a 2nd run though :thumbsup

Thanks once again :)

I owe the mouldmaker a great deal of grattide for his quick paint job and mock up above, the casts seem to have come out excellent also, so my thanks once again to him, he is a great guy also :thumbsup

Not to derail this thread, because you've done a great job, darthvaderv, but what kind of a chest box is that, Tuskin Scout?!?

I've never seen that box before. . . .

I thought it looked a little weird because of the glitter in the red and blue buttons...I am not sure of its origins :confused It must be important enough to be included in the display at Celebration Four:confused
