I provided you guys with a lot of ref for the last browncoat you made. If you're doing the Serenity version now, I really hope you make it accurate to the movie!

Interesting.

But do you have pictures? Prices? I did not see anything on your site.

The image you link to is of the Serenity (movie) version of the coat, which is VERY different from the original tv-coat. A-S have chosen to replicate the tv-show version (which is kinda odd since they only have the movie license, but totally understandable because the Firefly version is probably more sought-after.)

The tv-version does not have the horizontal seam across the waist either, but if you're looking for complete screen-accuracy there are more noticeable differences to the tv-version besides the seam on the A-S Browncoat. That horizontal seam is in fact even present on the JA Logan coat, which is very expensive (over three times the cost of the A-S last I checked), but the most accurate available since he did the originals. However, even his coats have some noticeable differences, most likely to keep costs down.

There is currently no absolutely screen-accurate Browncoat available. The Logan is close, but still off on a couple details. The Abbyshot is very affordable, off in a few areas, but the only licensed coat available.

Personally, I would have loved it if they had done the movie coat. That's the license they have and no one has done a good version of it yet. I would've bought one in a heartbeat if they had. Abbyshot are some very talented folks and it would have been killer.

So...

$359.00 + $40 shipping in the US, and the cow-suede coat appears to have a seam across the waist.

This doesn't seem to be screen accurate?

Ah, that would explain a lot. I guess I was confused because of the license they acquired, vs the one they would seem to need for a television coat.

Is this more or less just the same coat they had before, but "legal"?

well if it did not have the seam across the middle of the waist I might have given it a try

but I cant get passed that seam sorry
