Question abbreviation issue (answered)

Since the "hack-attack" I've been noticing when searching posts I now see off characters instead of the " ' " symbol.

example: Instead of "There's" I see "There's"

Just wondering if anyone else is seeing this?

its coming up every now and then for me too, may be an initial fault of the person typing something odd. the val kilmer saint knife thread is a perfect example

Are you people checking out some of the necro posts that's been bumped? Those have those issues as they didn't transfer correctly from an earlier update.

That could very well be, I noticed it more and more after the malware incident during searches but now it seems to have disappeared. :thumbsup

BINGO! We have a winner... nice catch, I just found one and it's a post from 2006.

You can see that ' is showing up as &#39, that was the code from the forum software that we used to use.

Well, seeing as you have full forum editing options, couldn't you do a replace ' to ' ? Or would that be too risky?
