There's been a lot of interest coming my way in a smaller Tie Pilot helmet lately so to address this subject I started construction of a NEW Helmet for smaller Troopers .
Cutting apart one of my own helmets and re positioning the four piece's I reduced the size by quite a bit ,
The pictures here will give you an idea of what it will look like when all the work is done , This helmet will be smaller front to back , side to side and top to bottom .
It will be larger than the Don post standard that can be found on Ebay and much more true to what was seen on screen .
At the bottom is the Don post helmet I wish to replace.
Give a look and ask questions .
Thanks

I took some time to plastic weld the helmet together and remove the ears caps , the caps have been moved higher on the helmet to reduce the over all height . The face plate has now been shimmed and sanded so now on to putty. By sometime tomorrow after even more sanding and putty the face can be re attached and we can move on to the re sculpting stage .
You can see the side tubes had to come off so the ear caps could be re position , they'll take little work to re attach but it'll be worth the hassle.
Here's some pics of the progress.

. A lot of bulk fill and basic shape sculpting , by tomorrow the sanding will start and I expect that to take several days or more .
I'm working with some folks to put together a few upgrades in detail parts that will be included at no extra cost , I'm not sure but I may have to re size the Cog stickers to fit properly we'll see .

This might give you an idea of how it will sit compared to the larger helmet.

Got the final sanding done to the shell and shot it with primer , A few more coats and some wet sanding then on to a high gloss black paint , she'll have to cure for about seven days and it will be time to mold .
About darn time
