Yeah I know, Batman needs a shave and some eye make up, I don't think the facial hair will matter on the second costume...:lol
Enjoy,

Planet of the Apes: The Quest for the yapping Dog! :lol

Seriously, DOOD!!! Where did you get that fantastic General Urko mask??? I must have one! :eek

Costumes look great, but if you're going as Batman I would loose the Goatee. You can grow it back in a couple weeks.

Thanks guys, glad you like!!:thumbsup

Yeah if my new cowl comes in tomorrow, I'll lose the goatee...it's not THAT much of a big deal but if not, I'll leave it and just go ape!:lol

As for the ape mask, that and the shoulder armor came from Apemania, the rest of the suit was scratch built by myself and a buddy. (the guns came from Ebay)

PS.
The yapping dog belongs to my neighbor....6:30am to 7:00pm NON STOP!!! I don't see how the damn thing even catches his breath!!

YAH! Urko! Fantastic costumes, especially Urko!

I've been wanting a classic POTA mask for years. I used to own the Don Post Cornelius and Gorilla (back in the 70's). They were very well made, but unfortunately long gone.

You inspired me to go Ape.

Damned dirty ape.....

Honestly man, they're great costumes, well done:thumbsup

I just love Urko and the video was excellent, but that dog sent my Dobermann off, I think it made her hungry :unsure

Cheers,

Kraig

Thanks for the compliments guys!!
I really don't know how much of a tutorial I could give though...the mask/helmet & shoulder armor were ordered, the gloves are pleather & were made by my local seamstress based on the Rubies "Anikin" glove pattern, the vest is made from pleather as well from a homemade pattern that was taken from just pictures of screen used stuff.........the pants and the tunic were based on a set of sweats all also made by my local seamstress.
The bandoleer & holster were custom made from real leather by a buddy of mine, the same buddy also custom sculpted the toe tips for the boots and then poured them in latex.
Last but not least, the armor plates on the gloves were custom sculpted as well, silicone molded and then cast out of hot glue of all things and then glued to the gloves
Hope that helps...it's the best that I can do.

wow! that ape is awesome!
any chance of a tutorial for that one?

cool, didnt know if it was that easy or not, thanks for the info.
is that the "economy rubber" helmet? or the uber expensive leather one?

At this point, I didn't opt for the separate helmet and mask, what I've got is the offically licensed collectors mask, the helmet and face are all molded together as a one piece unit.
I'll probably upgrade since the costume turned out so good and do the separate pieces but I don't see myself paying $850.00 for a leather helmet.
