Not sure if the films are your cup of tea but Punisher Warzone and the newest Rambo have to of the best DTS HD 7.1 tracks I have heard! Major LFE and tons of the surround effects are top notch and make you feel like your in the films, Both will have you about ready to start dodging bullets
I'm glad this thread exists, since, when I eventually get round to upgrading to an HDTV and Blu-ray player, I'll be looking into a new receiver as well. I too am using a then-pretty-good Onkyo 6.1 receiver from about 2005/2006, but it lacks HDMI, so I'll likely end up upgrading that as well.
Audio received a 4.5 out of 5 at Blu-ray.com but it wasn't nearly as good as M&C.
By the way, that film frustrates, Love the subject matter. Fantastic, rich in potential.
But this film just totally smacks as a Devlin/Emmerich production (I realize Devlin was credited as a producer). Saccharine sweet version, little or no emotional or intellectual depth. Riddled with cliches (cliche's as ubiquitous as its bullet holes - there; I can create cliches out of cliches!). And Franco is just simple irritating.
