Righto! Howdy Folks!
I have not posted much and spent far more time lurking. A few of my prop maker friends at ECCC encouraged me to start posting build logs of the props and costumes I'm constantly churning out under my moniker of Hiro Creations.
So I'm gonna take a stab at it again (and hope I take lots of pictures of the progress of the builds).
Here goes!

I'm also looking at making the Vault 111 jumpsuit to wear underneath the armor or as a casual cosplay when I am not wearing the armor.

Fun stats before we jump into the progress updates:
90% of this build is gonna be 3d printed out of PLA plastic--the joints/Under frame will most likely be made from Semiflex or NinjaFlex flexible filiments. And of course the armor plating will be held together with a PVC/Sintra internal frame.
For this task I have two wonderful workhorse printers, an Monoprice Maker Select and a Printrbot simple metal. These are the stats/settings of the printers:
Monoprice Maker Select:
Hotend: Microswiss Mk10 all metal hotend
Nozzle: .6mm
Printing Layer Height: .46
Print Speed 50mm/s
Printrbot Simple Metal
Hotend : E3Dv6 all metal hotend
Nozzle: 1mm
Printing Layer Height: .60
Print Speed: 50-60mm/s
As you can tell I am printing as fast as I can at the lowest resolution possible which means the prints themselves are gonna be rough--which ain't a big issue given the post finishing techniques I use for the armor parts.
On the subject of printers I do have to take a moment and thank the fine folks at IC3D printers for sponsoring all the PLA filament of this build.
Onwards to updates!
