3D Printed EE-3 ESB Build

So, I snagged a cheaper 3D printed EE-3 a while back and finally got around to tinkering with it. First off, let me say it was a first print from the designer, literally a "moving sale" lol, but i've been talking with im about the various issues I've come across to help him sort the design a bit more. Mostly the pistol grip body to the barrel assembly just didn't mesh and even after hours and hours of sanding ended up splitting a bit. But that's fixable ;)

What I'm trying to do now is locate some decent replacement greeblies. I've found a guy on MMCC forums I PMed that has some "B Pull" resin casts of the unimax switches so might have those sorted. Looking for options of the other greeblies if anyone has suggestions. The pipeclamps are all the same style as the rear clamp, but I'm thinking I can modifiy one into the proper front clamp style. Then I'll need to figure out the proper screw sizes for both clamps. Also looking to find a Heiland flash tube as it will just look so much better than the printed tube (which sadly has peeling issues). I'll be using just a simple cheap 4x20 scope as well, and I've sanded down the 3d printed scope mounts to allow for the 4x20s clamps to seat tightly.

Any tips would be greatly appreciated!

So small update, I've got 2 real switches and 3 accurate. 3d printed plugs on route from Cameron, and I had contacted revel on a whim asking to purchase a few of the engine part used (yes not the 1970s version but still looked way better than I had) and just got an email that they are sending me the parts for free.

Thinking of researching and learning how to resin cast and use casts of the switches at least and maybe even the engine part.

Got a guy selling me a Heiland off the rebel armory also

So now I'm just going to have to either find a better disc or clean up and use the 3d ones from the kit. Worst ones are just a little misshapen and the base is got a bit of on them but should be workable if needed

Anyone know where I can find an STL for an ESB EE-3? So far all I've found are files for the ROTJ version. Any help would be appreciated.

Quick update. About 80% together finally. Still waiting on the V8 parts from Revel, pandemic kinna hit when they were to ship and follow up emails just netted a "3 weeks to arrive" *shrug* I just inquired about tracked lol

I might upgrade the molex connectors, the 3d ones I had aren't the best. Or I might just want for Fieldmarshal to finish up his replicas..........

Glued all together finally.

Need shorter screws for the foreclamp, screw and nut for the rearclamp, and some slotted screws for the trigger, stock, and other body locations to match the real weapon,.............but happy how it turned out ;)
