3-day Star Destroyer from Garbage!

You have created a load of wonderful memories there--that is a terrific build!

When I first saw the title to this thread, I said to myself "Uh boy, I wonder what the end result is going to be". But I am really impressed!
Good going.

I too was almost afraid to open this thread but then remembered this is the RPF...if it was worth posting, it had to be something cool.

That's an awesome project. That would have blown me away as a kid!

:thumbsup

Thanks for the kind feedback on this...glad the results weren't too embarrassing! If I were to adapt this to another material, I would probably make it a little more interactive, maybe thin out the conning tower a bit, but it was a blast to make and my little turkey is getting a big kick out of it. Of course, doing something like this kind of explodes the possibilities of potential projects, which (considering the scale) is a frightening thought. When it comes time to make the Death Star, I may have to varnish the cardboard and take it outside :)

Thanks again everyone.

Fantastic build! Also, since this is my first time seeing this post of yours glorbes, I decided to look at your past creations. I didn't realize that you did the Trek bridge, fantastic work on that! I also want to ask, are you planning on doing another scratch build Star trek ship? Refit perhaps? :3 lol anyway, awesome Star Destroyer man! keep up the good work!

Your son's face says it all!!! He must think he has the best dad in the world, what with this AND the pirate ship!!!
Once again, you have excelled yourself and I am honoured that I had. Small part to play in your inspiration.
You keep on building and we will keep on adoring!

There's really nothing better than something made by dad! And for it being made from primarily cardboard it looks amazing.
