I think Philip has used email to send invites the last 5 years, so he should have everyone's email addresses.

Like I said, maybe next year after the 2014 party Thread is created Philip could email everyone who has attended in previous years and link to that Thread.

Then it would be up to them to respond and send Philip an email for an invite to the next party. But at least they would be aware and have a direct link to the info.

Maybe numbers were down due to the new "events" section keeping the announcement out of the general public eye? I barely caught it due to this fact, to be honest.

I've found this to be the case unfortunately. It makes sense to have it's own area but people need to check it!

I think if the "event" is definitely prop related..........it needs to be seen in the prop forum. Always has been, always should be.

Yeah, that was my concern as well. Took it upon myself to mention to a few others that I didn't think would see the thread because of its location

I couldn't agree more. I have complained to Art about it, but he was unresponsive about it other than to say he thought I had input on the decision. Which sequestered it in an area nobody crosses in their travels. I had not.

I received countless emails asking about the party from those who had no idea there was a section for events.

At the very least put an events button at the top of the page like all the other sections.

I would love to see a one-time banner posted about upcoming prop parties when you log-in. It may seem too much or annoying, since it's another banner, but you can close it immediately and it won't appear again once you close it.
Plus, it's like a party invite, and not an add. So, everyone should be excited to see it!thumbsup

Hi all...I wanted to let you guys know that we had so much fun at Philip's that I talked to the guys that run Area 51 (gaming/comic store in grapevine) and they said they would love to have us there. I propose that we have a more regular gathering. Maybe I'll try to put something together for the summer. Nothing that will ever outshine the North Texas Prop Party though... Maybe we can call it the DFW prop party.... Those of us in Dallas, Ft Worth, Grapevine, Southlake, Coppell, Flower Mound, Southlake... Maybe Funky can even make this one! ha! Speaking of Coppell, SOMEBODY owes me a Walking Dead head for a certain Hobbit drawing....

No Hijack was intended...blame it on Vodka.... Just had a good time last weekend.

Getting in a little late here, but I wanted to thank Phillip for hosting this year's party. It is always to motivating to me--both in the weeks leading up to the party (to finish any lingering projects), as well as coming back from the gathering with new energy to start things I've wanted to make.

Thanks to Estel for all the sweet, sweet give aways, as well as all the other generous contributor. Personally, I benefitted from James Kenobi's awesome Speed Racer/X-wing mash up print which will soon be mounted and framed. Thanks!
