Dean,

I've got to say - that is some pretty incredible work. Looks like it's straight out of the archives.

I think this is better than your Falcons. Wonderful..
[/b]
THANKS....
I had a little more freedom on these, on the Falcons I needed to be as exact as I could to the refrence...LOOK WHO I AM TELLING THIS To...you know better than me :D

WOOWZA WOOWZA WOOZA. PM Sent. You have just shown me what we were going for when we made the darn thing. To bad you couldnt of got the facotry to paint them like yours. Now thats what I had in mind for the production piece.

PM sent....

Steve

Wow, that is a great job. Of course, we'd expect nothing less coming from you. :D

Man that's a beauty. WHY OH WHY didn't the prequel ships look this cool?.
[/b]

Indeed. Y-Wings were supposed to be old ships by the time of ANH. I had been hoping we'd see them brand new (with their fuselage covers in place, covering the greeblies) in the prequels.

Now thats how a Y-wing should be painted.
Absolutely stunning. :thumbsup

Must admit that i was expecting to see them as well.

I am the proud owner of the one with the TIE kill mark on the nose.

Dean, it's beautiful. Thanks for taking the commission.

Im truly in awe, that first Y is just killer, who did paint the original master anyone know? They really shoulda gave you the job Dean, yours and Dan S' birds are the benchmark....period

I did the build master (which basically was some glueing of parts and some pipe bending, heh) - the paint master was done by another contractor at the time.

Wish I could have done the paint master, but I had other commitments ;)

Dean - I echo everyone else's requests for higher res pics. I'm mid-way through lighting my disassembled MR Y-Wing, and changing some of the red jammer details. It's a much more creative model to work on, especially in comparison to character-specific ships like the Falcon, X-Wings, Snowspeeders, etc. Your work is simply perfect on these.

Absolutely stunning Dean. Just wondering if you use a lot of washes for the weathering or more airbrush, or a combination of both ? Yeah, bigger pics please.

Well i wish too that you painted her moff, your paint is great on other projects. A red jammer. Your painting one, or removing the reds parts to gold configuration? Anyways, love to see her, im a sucker for Y wings.
