12" Ezra and Zeb Rebels figure repaints

Star Wars Rebels rocks. It just does. And I wanted a couple of figures for the display cabinet. Don't like the 3.75" figures and the 20" figures won't fit in a Detolf, so I went with the 12" figures (which I found cheap).

The 12" figures have really nice sculpts (I'm guessing they used the original 3D files and modified them for articulation) but are missing a LOT of detail in the paintwork and have a lot of colours that are just plain wrong. So for the first project of the year, I did a couple of straight repaints.

Great Job! Love this. I have all of the new 12" and just picked up the Rey this week. Her paint job is quite boring as well, but the head sculpt is quite good. I may try my hand at a repaint now that I've seen your great work. If you do any more like this please share your pics. Cheers!

Thanks folks. One of the hardest things was probably trying to match the paint colours to the colours that were already on the figure (such as Zeb's dark and light green armour stripes to add in the missing ones). I like how they turned out and they should look good in the Detolf with my 1:1 Ezra custom-painted cadet helmet (when it's finished).

I plan to pick up Kanan next if I can find him cheap enough. It's a pity that a 12" scale Hera, Sabine or Chopper were never released.

My son has the Kanan and Ezra 12" figures, and I've noticed how detailed they are, but I never even thought about repainting them...
Your Zeb repaint is by far my personal favorite though! I never saw the 12" Zeb around these parts...

500% better with the repainting! :thumbsup :thumbsup The accuracy of the figures looks pretty good to the cartoon as well (without putting them side by side anyway). Very nice work on the paint.
