1:6 scale Star Wars Figures

I have plenty of props and helmets, and have what some people might see as “gone backwards” in collecting and started getting some 1/6 scale figures. I think they perfectly compliment the props and give them context. Anyway, I thought I’d start a Star Wars thread related to new releases. This thread is to discuss the newly revealed figures and I’ll add to to it as time goes on. Hot Toys just announced the following new Star Wars figures for May the 4th.

Those are great! I have the Sideshow ANH Darth Vader and the Hot Toys ANH Vader and Boba Fett for my collection in addition to a custom ANH Vader I'm putting together based on the Hot Toys figure.

Those figures look great next to the props, i have a few 1/6 scale figures mostly custom builds, some good stuff on the way, i will watch this thread with interest

Around 10-ish years ago I sold all my Hot Toys figures and promised myself "no more figures". Now I have just about as many figures as props, including three 1/6 cars and some premium format statues. Most likely it's the 'human' factor that feels missing from a lot of props. Plus, I really only have room for maybe one life-size costume/statue.

Been tinkering with the idea of doing 'scene' dioramas in my Detolf shelves with them, like that end scene from the last episode of the Mandalorian. I have all the figures, just need to build the ship interior. And I've arranged all the OT heroes in their ST form as if they were 'adventuring' together... helps wash the bitter taste of the fact that we never got to see them all together again. (Even a green blade for 'old' Luke's lightsaber.)

And I also splurged on the Leia/Wicket set... time to make an Endor scene with aquarium plants, lol.

Star Wars Hot Toys figures are the worse thing that ever happened to my wallet.
And things will get even worse with Kenobi coming out next, then Mando S3, then Andor....it never ends

I regretted not getting another K2 figure from Rogue One. I wanted to make a [repainted] variant.

Looks like there will be opportunities to do so

I have several of the Hot Toys and the Sideshow figures. Hot Toys are way more expensive than the Sideshow but their portraits are far more superior. If it’s a helmeted figure, Sideshow is not bad at all!

Not quite. The Sideshow Stormtroopers and Sandtroopers were quite bad compared to Hot Toys versions, which are not perfect either, but way above Sideshow. The SSC Stormie helmets are weird shaped, the cod piece is tiny, the body is floppy, acting like a rag doll.

The real problem about these figures is the addiction. Every time I've said "that's enough", Hot Toys announces something else, just as fantastic as the previous one. I watched the ANDOR trailer and all I could think about is "that's gonna be a cool HT figure, that's gonna be a cool HT figure, and that character over there, probably a HT figure." ;)
