I have one and want to know:

If the cockpit on this opens?

I have been playing with this huge wonder.

and saw a few pics on the net that shows the cockpit area pushing back to unveil a mock mini cockpit.

Do you know? I dont want to force anything of course.

Let me know what ya know.
Thanks
Tom

I got the same problem with my little (1/18 diecast) Tumbler, I don't know how to open the cockpit :lol
I'm gonna use this diecast model as reference to build my own rc Tumbler,

BTW, do you have any pictures or video's of your Tumbler ?

I can't see the pic (our firewall thinks Photobucket images are illegal downloads), so I don't know for sure if you've pictured it. Assuming you mean the Hotwheels Tumbler because -for all I know there could be others- don't bother opening it. It doesn't work very well, doesn't open very far, and doesn't really close properly once you've finished. Mine almost ended up glued in place. Best way to get to the interior to add detail is to dismantle it, and reclose the canopy properly when you've access to the inside.

Yep, it’s a Hotwheels Tumbler. The windshield section can be pushed back, but there is no movement in the roof. The quality and accuracy of the model are not so good, but as 3D reference model to build a bigger rc model, it’s perfect.

I see it now, from home. I've seen a more recent version with glossy paint and yellower gold. Shame they didn't correct the front tyres, which are a fair bit bigger than they should be.
Yours seems different, the roof looks fixed and I'm sure it should lift a little to slide back the windscreen panel. It was a long time ago, though.
It'll make a fine RC model, keep posting pics!

My version is a semi glossy paint and the golden parts are too yellow, the gold should be a more brown colour. I think the reason wy Hotwheels used a glossy paint is, because light reflects differently on small scale models than the full-size model.
The front wheels are indeed too big, I also got the feeling that the back wheels are too small, probably because the front wheels are oversized.
I’m not sure what the difference is between the Batman Begins and The Dark Knight Tumbler (probably the windows), Hotwheels sells this model as The Dark Knight Tumbler, I think it’s actually the car from Batman Begins.

A few more pics,

Are you sure that the pictures you saw weren't the Hot Toys 1/6th Tumbler? It's cockpit opens.

I'm thinking the same thing. The HT Tumbler is massive and designed to hold 2 12" figures. It's got a ton of maving parts and several lights. The amount of the cockpit detail is insane. But coming in at 450.00-500.00, it better be. :confused
