I'm in the process of fixing and repainting/reworking a Black Series Dewback to make it passable as a movie replica. The Dewback came with a 6" Sandtrooper as seen below.
It's certainly not bad. But compared to the Bandai kit, the finer details are very noticeable.
The overall heights are similar and both will be used in the display I'm working on. I am in the process of repainting the Black Series along with building out the Bandai kit. Here's where I'm at now:
As you can see, the Bandai kit has sharper details and, due to the construction process, more variance in those finer details. The thing that is most off-putting with the Black Series figures is the soft plastic/vinyl that they are made from. I'll have more progress tonight and this weekend as I'm working on Boba Fett, too.
