I'm not in on this run or anything, just a fan of the character (& thus, this project). A question, has anyone ever thought to have the eyes mounted looking slightly left or right? I've noticed just that little change can make a character bust REALLY come to life...

I agree - I don't even think it has to be as far as the joker bust is looking (but that looks great by the way). The realism of the first harley posted/painted is still the best, and it is likely due to the eyes - I am good with a slight left or right gaze on my bust

Nexus6 is right, the slight change to the eye position does make a big difference.

For my Harley could you still keep the paintwork the same as the latest Harley (post 202), but have the eye position identical to the first Harley (post 151)? That slight gaze to her left (our right as we face her) is spot on.

Ok, here are progress photos of # 5 for Bigkilo. I put the eyes looking to the side as you guys requested. All that's left is the eyelashes and Rotten tattoo and it's off to Reel for the hair.

I ended up taking these eyes out. They weren't lined up right. I'm only going to be posing them straight ahead as the slightest misalignment throws them off.

Not trying to derail the thread, but I have run into this exact issue before. What I found really helps for me is cutting down two equal sized pieces of a drinking straw and using double sided tape to place them directly over the pupil. Being able to see them and adjust in a 3D space really helps. Hope it is of some use to you.

I think the slight gaze to the left is awesome and your paint work quite nice!

Here is BigKilo's # 5 almost complete. Stencils went bad, had to order new ones so the Rotten Tattoo will have to wait for now.
