1:1 scale Jurassic Park Dilophosaurus

I have noticed that a few people have brought up my work on here when it was on Ebay. So now I can post better pics of the 2 versions of the JP Dilophosaur that I sculpted out of oil clay, molded then casted out of fiber glass.

My wife keeps bugging me that she wants a full size Velociraptor costume to wear to cons.... and she's serious. :lol

Scarily real looking!!!!
What are the dimensions of the one with the open frill? (would one fit my lounge and do I need to start work on 'her indoors')

Regards
Grae

I love those spitters. I wish I could afford one for my den. I to have been researching a raptor costume based on the walking with dinosaurs live show. I hope to be able to build one for a yearly event my local museum does.

Thanks guys! The frill measures are about 30" wide by 30" high and about 20" deep. For the people interested in making a raptor costume you should check out the making of Walking with Dinosaurs live DvD if you can find it. They stopped selling it, but from what I understand a new one is coming out.

That's some seriously good work. :eek

Now... do a baby raptor... always wanted one of those - free of the egg of course... scratching its head with the sickle-claw, like in that concept art. :thumbsup

That's awesome! I think I still have scars on my arm from my friend's nails digging into me when that thing popped open its frill the first time she saw it (it was the 3rd time in theaters for me)!
