1/1 Scale Deathtrooper and his little brother

I seem to have my hands in so many different projects at the moment I thought I'd share this one with you.
This is some thing that started from a friend showing me a picture and I thought I'd try doing a full size replica with my own views on it. I decided to build a 1/6th scale little brother first to see how it would go so I started with a 1/6th resin cast TK lid and an old skull from a Airfix Skeleton kit.
This is the finished article.

Then I started on the full size version using an old battered Stormtrooper lid that a friend gave to me.

I bought a polystyrene head and marked and cut the back of the head off.

Then I hollowed it out and melted the inside and also cut the left side of the face off.

After that I placed a plastic 1/1 scale Lindbergh Skull inside and put the back of the head back on. I wrapped the whole haed in plaster impregnated bandage ( Mod-Roc) and then left it to dry.

The teeth are actually an old set of dentures that I aquired form my Gran. She had a new set so it was ok :lol
I ground all the pink gum frame off and the teeth that were left I placed on to the skull and then moulded them in with Milliput.

After leaving all that to dry I started on the lid. It needed a lot of filler and sanding but eventually got to a stage where it was usable. I then cut a hole to match the side of the face and cut all the blaster damage in from there.

I tried a test fit of the lid on the head

I used an old toy ball container for the eye and hand painted it before resting it in the skull.

This is as far as I've got so far but will update next when I've got some painting done.

That´s a very cool display. well done!(y)love
I have prepaired a project for a deathtrooper, too, that I´m offering to sell in the YJ.
I´d wish I would come around to finish it. But have no time.

I think it could be cool with some helmet tech stuff being visiable through the hole. like an aerator tube and whatnot. Just an idea.

I was actually thinking about doing that and now it seems like it would be a good idea. So watch this space and I will see what I can come up with. :love:lol

Latest update, I still have some things to do, such as getting hold of the mic tips and bit of painted details to do, plus a bit more blood and gore. :love:sick
Here's the latest pics to show you.

Are you going to do any work on the inside of the helmet. I love looking at the inside of vaders helmet. to my knowledge there has never been an internal view of a trooper helmet (my knowledge is vast but not complete) but it would be cool to see some respirator, parts etc. if you could get something to spark at random intervals that would turn this project into a masterpiece.

I have started to put some pieces in but space is tight so it will be limited. I do like the idea of the sparks going off intermittently but I've no idea how to go about it.
Does anyone know how and also to do it safely for viewers? :confused

Love it, course I love zombies...and stormtroopers. Put them together and it's like chocolate and peanut butter....perfect together:)

Added a few greeblies to detail it up a bit. I know they aren't accurate but thought they looked better than an empty shell sat on it's head.:lol

Nearly done now and hope to display it at Starmania in Swansea, UK. :cool

That looks great, a zombie trooper would be more of a threat then a live one. He would be more accurate with his mouth then with his blaster lol.
