I'm recycling this thread, but the intent is the same.

I'm looking for inspiration for a 1:1 figure pose. I've seen a handful out there (Mantis, Agent5, Houdiniguy all come to mind), but would love to see more...

I'll be doing one soon after the new year, and need some ideas...

Pics of your own?

Pics of Ford from Raiders you like...?

My vote is the classic bag of sand/idol switch. :)

Re: Best pose for a 1:1 Raiders Indy figure?

That might be my next project as well. I have everything I need but the mannequin, I was thinking having a sitting position.

You could alway go for something unique and do a "What, me worry?" pose ;)

I was thinking that too...

If physical space and my skill levels were unlimited, I'd do something like having his left foot up on a crate (right leg standing straight) with his left elbow on his left knee; left hand cradling his chin/beard.

But that will take up too much room, and I'll be building my own figure...

Re: Best pose for a 1:1 Raiders Indy figure?

Cool idea PH. I'd love to see what you come up with. I've always liked his "let's rock and roll" look, without the jacket. Something that says, "I'm ready to get it on." Similar to this:

A little CGI, but you get the idea

and since you mentioned something a little different how about something like this with his foot on crate:

Re: Best pose for a 1:1 Raiders Indy figure?

Depends on the position of the hands. If they are clenched into fists I like the "ready to fight" stance like when he was going to go up against the bald Nazi by the flying wing.
Foot up on a crate (or something) and leaning on that leg (as lambotour showed) is good, too.
How about lying on the ground, being dragged behind a truck?:lol

Sincerely,
The Wolf

Re: Best pose for a 1:1 Raiders Indy figure?

The pose with him with his foot on a crate, whip in hand would rock! :)

Re: Best pose for a 1:1 Raiders Indy figure?

For a more straighforward mannequin mod, how about this classic pose:

Re: Best pose for a 1:1 Raiders Indy figure?

I second that one! The hardest part with these alwasy seems to be the face sculpt. if you get it looking like Harrison, everything else will work :)

Re: Best pose for a 1:1 Raiders Indy figure?

Rest assured, I will not set the bust aside until it looks just right! ;)

And maybe I will do the foot on the crate pose... Will be tough, but the result would be worth it...

He should have the stunned look on his face when he faces a sword -with an empty holster!

:)

Re: 1:1 Raiders Indy figures? Love to see them!

I just went for an arms at side, legs slightly spread pose.
I've decided to keep the display headless (and handless) because I think my expectations of an Indy bust are set too high, so anything short of perfect just isn't good enough!

Chris is the one who inspired me to do my 1:1 Indy many years ago so I have to give him credit for that. His keep getting better and better.

Heres a couple of mine.

Thanks for the kudos Jason, but you're the master now! :)
Your display looks really stunning.

Cheers,
