Looking good! Almost there....looks like you should have your first pull by this weekend if not sooner. It is a pretty incredible feeling to pull that first one out of the mold. Can't wait to see it!
Kudos on this so far. It will turn out great! Did I see that you had acquired some Plastipaste from Smooth On (in the bag) for the MM or was that something else?
The Smooth Cast comes in the Blue and Yellow jugs...I was talking about the bag. I have never used Plastipaste so I don't know how they ship it. Thought perhaps that was the stuff in the bag. When you get the mold done and are ready to start mixing the resin, just do so in as dry an environment as possible. The stuff is highly moisture sensitive and forms tiny bubbles in the resin as it sets making for a more soft or spongy cast which you do not want. For mine I mix up about 6 ozs total A&B per application and I apply about 5-6 applications to build it up good and thick. Have plenty of chip brushes on hand and keep pulling it up near the edges as it starts to kick or they may come out too thin and you will have a very thick spot in the forehead where it settles. I am getting anxious to see that first pull....
Here it is guys! It turned out phenomenal! No air bubbles at all. I am so stoked right now. The flange has been trimmed and the MM is being trimmed tomorrow!
It turned out flawless Eli. Thanks man. I'm using Smoothcast 321 for casting! Gonna do a test pull tomorrow! I'll also show better pics tomorrow as well.
Finished trimming the MM. Its been sanded down around the edges and is now ready for casting.

I want to say a BIG Thank you to Casey McCabe for answering my million questions and giving the best advice I could ever imagine. Hats off to him for all the help. Wouldnt be as easy otherwise. Another BIG thank you to Steve (Bonzrus) for also giving me very detailed advice and methods of his process. Its because of his build thread that made me really inspired to move forward on this. So thank you guys. I am very appreciative of both of you and for everyone who showed interest and commented on this build. Looking forward to showing the test pull tomorrow.
