1:1 Narin Bio Sculpt (Updated 8/13/13)

Progress shots! Damage is being added still! Dents in the dome are also done. Still gotta smooth some more and fine tune a bit.

The ports on the back of the jaws are done except I might make the inside edge straight instead of curved and following the ports. What do you all think?

Finally started refining the edge so it's smooth all the way around and symmetrical.

Hope you all are enjoying this process! Mold and casting materials are on their way as well.
Time to go snag a gram scale! :)

Very cool looking lid! Outstanding job on the sculpt so far. I like what you have done with the damage and dents. Looking forward to following the molding process. (y)

Thanks Steve! Should be in the molding stage within a week or two. Been talking with Casey on Facebook about some secret tips on molding and what not! Been in the replica hobby for years but am getting a big passion for bios again. It's an honor to have your thoughts on my work man! Your work also gave me inspiration to get back into it!!! :)

It's coming along very well. Love the pics from all around it, especially the hose port in the jaw. Still can't get over how symmetrical the hole thing is lol. How long do you think it will be till you make your first cast?  :)

Should have it molded and cast within a week or two. Fingers crossed!!! I have my silicone and resin on its way. :)

You have done an outstanding job on this.  I'm looking forward to seeing what comes from this!  Thanks for the update!

A bit nervous about the mold stage, as always when molding! Lol
But looking forward to it! Just a tad bit more detail to add.

I know what you mean.  I've been working on a P1 bio for longer than I care to admit, and am not looking forward to molding it.  I have to say, it's nice seeing something 'fresh' and new being done.  I really like the clean lines and simple design of this.  I'm really a purist when it comes to all things predator (not into anything past P2) but this is one I would love to add to my collection.  Keep up the good work!

I have a lot of molding tips to help ease the stress! ;) I am glad you all dig it and I agree, I too am a purist. Would love to see your p1 in the works! Got a link?

This is one very cool bio. Nice work dude.
Thanks bro! Stay tuned....

Here's a link to my WIP on it.  http://www.thehunterslair.com/topic/30007-sculpting-a-biodecided-to-give-it-a-try-update-5202013/.  I have since (for a 3rd time) removed the clay because the armature I was using was screwing with the sculpt.  I have made a new armature and just got it blocked out on the new armature yesterday.  My plan is to try and find a little time this weekend to get it smoothed out and start putting the details in.  I hope you're able to get lots of pics of the mold process, but I know how it goes when you work alone and can't just stop to snap a pic.

I've always like that bio helmet on narin's figure. He comes out with some awesome stuff. I can't wait to see it casted up and finished. Keep those updates coming.

Alright guys. I decided that  subtle texture is what was missing. Just by adding this, it brought the damage down to a more natural look and really ties the whole thing together.

A tad bit more clean up and this is ready for molding!!!!! :D

Now there you go. A little goes along way. I just think some texture brings it to life a bit more if you see what I mean? Very cool sir.  :)

Yeah! It really tones down the whole look for a much more natural feel! My hand was about to fall off after! :/ lol

That bio looks very unique.
Love the details on that one.
How about some ventile-holes on the chin?
The vent holes on the chin would be bad ass but I'm really staying true to Narins design on this one! Would be cool though. I appreciate the idea bro:)

Sorry for the double post guys. Damn phone!!!!
